LES OCRES DE ROUSSILLON AND THE VILLAGE OF GORDES
Gordes is one of the most renowned villages in Provence and also one of the most visited, anchored on the heights of a rocky outcrop with buildings such as two abbeys, water and windmills and hundreds of dry stone huts. During the summer season, the village is the heart of multiple cultural events, essential festivals, concerts, museums and numerous exhibitions. Many artists such as Marc Chagall, Victor Vasarely, André Lhote or Pol Mara, fall in love with this village and settle there to live. Roussillon is a real geological curiosity, the quarries with multiple natural colors, ocher, natural pigment mixed with sands, a landscape shaped by erosion, contribute to making this village one of the most renowned in the Luberon. THE AIGUES VALLEY AND THE BONDE POND
The Aigues valley extends over the southern part of the Luberon. Its capital is the Tour d'Aigues, its highest point Vitrolles, its villages for example, Beaumont de Pertuis, Cabrières d'Aigues, la Bastidonne. Water is everywhere; each village has its fountain and plane trees, where the locals meet in the evening to comment on the past day or watch the game of boules. The pond of the bung is the largest body of water in the Luberon, located between Cabrières d'Aigues and La Motte d'Aigues. CADENET AND LA ROQUE D'ANTHERON
Cadenet is a tiered village situated on a hill in the Luberon; it is known for its feudal castle, its school drum, its cave dwellings and the culture of wicker.
